Basic Beliefs

Want to know what we believe?  Here's a short list of simple truths and principles we live by:

1)  Oneness of God in Jesus Christ.
In other words, there is only one God, and He showed Himself to humanity in Jesus Christ!

2)  New birth experience of Acts 2:38.
This means that we are saved by a) Repentance, b) Baptism by submersion in water in the Name of Jesus, and c) Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost! This represents Jesus' a) Death, b) Burial, and c) Resurrection to new life!

3)  Lifestyle of inward and outward holiness.
"Holy" means dedicated to God. So on the inside, we must keep our thoughts and motives pure. On the outside, we must behave, dress, and speak in a way that would honor God.

4)  Spirit-led worship and service.
During worhip we sing, clap, lift our hands, weep, and even jump for joy as we feel the Spirit of God touch our hearts. This same Spirit leads us to serve others with compassion.

5)  Demonstration of the Fruit and Gifts of the Spirit.
We should demonstrate the personal traits of love, joy, and peace (to name a few).  We should also use the Power of God to do miracles, heal, help, and act with wisdom.
